wooden flooring
A multi-layer parquet or composite parquet contains 2 or more layers. The top layer (or wear layer) of precious wood is usually between 3 and 6 mm thick. The underlays can be made of MDF, OSB or birch and give the composite parquet floor stability – extremely suitable for use on underfloor heating. They are installed easily and usually faster than solid parquets. Composite parquet can be finished in advance in our workshop or can also be sanded and treated on site.
Solid parquet is mainly characterized by the fact that it is composed of a single type of solid wood, which is why they are robust and very durable. Solid parquet is made from both native woods and exotic woods. Solid parquet floors cover the floor with 7 to 25 mm thick solid wood. The precise thickness and size of the elements determine how the parquet is installed. For example, there are traditional parquet floors, usually 9 or 10 mm solid wood, which are nailed and glued to a wooden base layer: real craftsmanship! Solid parquet is usually sanded on site and finished with oil, varnish or wax.

This is where the skills of the experienced parquet layer come into their own. With a subtle balance between light and shadow, motifs give your interior that extra accent. Classic parquet drawings also provide a surprising effect in a modern interior. We once again offer a wide range of choices: Versailles panels, herringbone parquet, Hungarian point, etc.
